Gilroy is more than the city I serve. It’s home.
Serving on the Gilroy City Council has been one of the greatest honors of my life. It has given me the opportunity to meet people throughout our community, listen to their concerns, celebrate what is going right and work through some of the difficult decisions that come with a growing and changing city.
That is why I am running for reelection to represent District 5.
I’m proud of the work we’ve done, but I’m not running to spend the next four years looking backward. I’m running because I care deeply about what comes next for Gilroy.

To everyone who joined us for our campaign kickoff, thank you.
What meant the most to me wasn’t simply seeing a room full of supporters. It was the conversations. The questions. The encouragement. The ideas you shared about our community and its future.
That is what I want this campaign to be about. I want to hear what you believe is working. I want to hear where you think we can do better. And I want to know what you want Gilroy to look like in the years ahead.
This campaign may have my name on it, but it is about our community.
Leadership Starts With Listening
I don’t expect everyone in District 5 to agree with me on every issue. That isn’t how a community works.
We can disagree and still listen to one another. We can ask difficult questions and still treat each other with respect. We can have different ideas about how to get somewhere while still sharing the same goal: making Gilroy the best community it can be.
To me, public service means remembering who you work for. It means listening, returning calls, showing up, doing your homework and making thoughtful decisions that may affect Gilroy families and businesses for years to come.
Why I’m Running Again
People have asked me why I want to serve another term.
The answer is pretty simple: because I care.
I care about the families raising their children here. I care about our local businesses. I care about our neighborhoods, our longtime residents, our newer neighbors and the people who work every day to make this city better.
Gilroy will continue to grow and change. We need thoughtful leadership that protects what people love about our community while preparing responsibly for the future.
There will be challenges. There will also be tremendous opportunities.
I’m ready to keep working.
